A Marion County sheriff’s deputy was called to a Summerfield residence on Wednesday after the owner realized her shed had been stolen.
When the deputy arrived at the home, located in the 16600 block of SE 100th Court, the 58-year-old owner told him she had evicted tenants from the rental property on Aug. 27. She said she was out of town and her daughter handled the eviction. And she added that she realized the shed was missing around Sept. 1.
A witness told the deputy that he noticed the shed missing on Aug. 24. He said he asked the tenant about it and was told “the owner had it moved to another property,” the report says.
The owner said the 8-by-12-foot shed, made by Americana, was painted a pewter/polar color. She said it was valued at $1,700, the report says.
