To the Editor:
The headlines read two landscaping contractors breach their contract. The PWAC announces budget shortfall and proposes eliminating the cap on amenity fees. The PWAC increased the budget for Community Watch. The county proposes a 24 percent hike in property taxes. The budget shortfalls in part account for items such as the multi-million dollar Morse Boulevard Bridge project.
Deed Compliance and Architectural Review are under assault. The infrastructure is inadequate to meet demands. Crowding in the community has become the norm as medical and other service providers and local businesses struggle to keep up, etc. et. etc. These complexities result directly from the rapid expansion of this community.
We will all continue to suffer the consequences, unless the county commissioners, et al find the intestinal fortitude to impose a moratorium on expansion allowing for a further and independent study of the environmental impact.
