Man sought after caper at Oxford farm supply store to get refund for stolen items

Sumter County sheriff’s detectives are asking for help in locating a man who recently ripped off an Oxford farm supply store.

Sumter County sheriff’s detectives believe the man pictured above returned stolen merchandise for a refund at Martin’s Larsen Farms in Oxford last month.

Detectives say the man pictured above entered Martin’s Larsen Farms, located on W County Road 466, on Aug. 20 and selected merchandise. He then took the unpurchased items and returned them for a cash refund, a sheriff’s office report states.

The man is described as being about 6-foot-4-inches tall and weighing about 350 pounds. He has center-parted braids that extend from the back of his head approximately four inches. And he was driving a dark-colored Nissan Armada (2017 or newer), the report says.
