Summerfield woman found dead in Georgia but four children still missing

A Summerfield woman who has been missing for six weeks has been found dead in Georgia and her husband has been identified as a suspect.

The body of 32-year-old Casei Jones was found Sunday in Brantley, Ga. The whereabouts of her four children – 10-year-old Cameron Bowers, 5-year-old Preston Bowers, 2-year-old Mercalli Jones and 1-year-old Aiyana Jones – is still unknown, Marion County sheriff’s detectives says.

The body of 32-year-old Casei Jones was found Sunday near Brantley, Ga. The whereabouts of her four children – 10-year-old Cameron Bowers, 5-year-old Preston Bowers, 2-year-old Mercalli Jones and 1-year-old Aiyana Jones – hasn’t been determined and is still being investigated, a sheriff’s office report says.

Jones’ husband, 38-year-old Michael Wayne Jones Jr., also was located in Georgia and is being questioned in connection with her death. A warrant has been issued for his arrest charging him with second degree homicide, the report says.

Jones’ family reported her and her children missing Saturday night. They were last seen in the Ocala area about six weeks ago and family members said they hadn’t seen or heard from her since that time.
