Cast of veterans brings laughs to ‘The Butler Did It’

Don Simson

The Tavares Community Theater Company’s latest production of “The Butler Did It” directed by Dennis Gleason is a fun mystery, murder, farce.

The question is: Did a murder really occur or not?

Who is the culprit among a cadre of mystery writers gathered by a hostess for a session similar to “Ten Little Indians” mystery but with a twist. Dennis has garnered a cast of veteran TCTC actors, as well as some new faces well-suited for their parts.

The big stage works well with the need for several doors and even a hidden passage. The Theater bills itself “Nomadic” as they are in a temporary theater located at 431 Plaza Drivein  Eustis (on East  State Road 441 in the Big Lots shopping center), while they are still working on their new location in downtown Tavares.

The weekend show will continue Friday, Nov. 8, Saturday, Nov. 9. and Sunday, Nov. 10 with matinees on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets can be purchased on line at tavarestheater.org or call (352) 343-9944.
