Trump Team 2020 Florida hosting ‘rising star’ GOP speakers at Villages event

Amanda Makki

The Sumter County Chapter of Trump Team 2020 Florida is preparing to host two “rising star” GOP speakers in The Villages.

The event will be held Wednesday, Nov. 20 at the Mulberry Recreation Center from 6:30-8:30 p.m. It will feature Amanda Makki, who is challenging former Gov. Charlie Crist, a Democrat, for the 13th Congressional District seat; and former Florida Congresswoman Bev Kilmer, who serves as chief executive officer of the Freedom Speaks Coalition, which is dedicated to preserving America’s core values, principles and history.

Makki, who speaks Farsi, was appointed by the George W. Bush Administration to serve the Army General Counsel at the Pentagon weeks after the 9/11 terrorist acts. She also served as a senior adviser in both the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives.

Bev Kilmer

Before turning 40, Makki became one of the youngest partners at the premier law firm K&L Gates, where she focused mainly on health care but also was involved with the firm’s pro-bono efforts providing assistance through Legal Counsel for the Elderly, a leading provider of free legal services.

Kilmer will focus on the topics of sanctity of life, protecting grades pre-K-5 from “the ravages of LGBTQ-gender training” and protecting and preserving American heritage.

Tickets for the event are $25, which includes annual chapter membership dues through Election Day 2020. Those with $100 gold memberships will be able to meet with the speakers brought in by the chapter throughout the year. To order tickets, click HERE.
