Fox News personality Brian Kilmeade will make his fifth book-signing appearance in The Villages on Saturday.
The “Fox & Friends” co-host will be at Barnes & Noble at Lake Sumter Landing at 1:30 p.m. to sign copies of his new book titled “Sam Houston and the Alamo Avengers: The Texas Victory That Changed American History.”
Those wishing to attend the event can click HERE to purchase a $29.96 ticket, which includes a copy of the book. There is a two-ticket limit per person.
Kilmeade will personalize books and take a photo with each guest who purchased a ticket. He will only sign one backlist title for each attendee and there will be no discussion about his latest work during the event.
Kilmeade’s new book, which was released Nov. 5, tells the story of the fight for Texas, recalling the day in March 1836 when the Mexican army, led by Gen. Santa Anna, massacred about 200-250 Texans who had been trapped in a tiny church in San Antonio for 13 days. The attack claimed the lives of American legends Jim Bowie and Davey Crocket, along with other Americans who had moved to Texas looking for a fresh start.
The devastating loss galvanized the surviving Texans and just one month after the massacre, under the leadership of Gen. Sam Houston – “a maverick with a rocky past” – the small army of settlers rallied and defeated the “Napoleon of the West” at the battle of San Jacinto, which secured independence of the land their friends had died for.

Kilmeade is certainly no stranger to The Villages, having been here four times in the past six years. His latest visit to Florida’s Friendliest Hometown came in December 2017 when he signed copies of “Andrew Jackson and the Miracle of New Orleans: The Battle That Shaped America’s Destiny.” During that trip, Kilmeade shared a special moment with Villager and huge fan Fred Goldman, a retired New York State police officer.
Kilmeade also was at the popular Lake Sumter Landing bookstore in November 2016 to sign copies of “Thomas Jefferson and the Tripoli Pirates: The Forgotten War That Changed American History” shortly after it was released in paperback. During that trip, many who got their books signed said they shared coffee with him every morning while watching “Fox & Friends.”

Kilmeade also signed copies that same book in December 2015 when it was first released. During that visit he was joined for the first time by his co-author, Don Yaeger.
Kilmeade’s first book-signing event in The Villages was held in December 2013 shortly after the release of “George Washington’s Secret Six: The Spy Ring That Saved the American Revolution.” During that visit, the line to meet Kilmeade snaked all throughout Barnes & Noble, with some area residents arriving two hours early.
