Joan P. Gibson, 78, of Wildwood, passed away Monday, December 9, 2019.
Mrs. Gibson was born November 25, 1941 in Guyton, GA to Walter D. and Nellie Frances (Colson) Pharis.
She lived here most of her life and worked for Wal-Mart in The Villages. Joan was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wildwood, where she enjoyed being a choir member. She also enjoyed knitting and sewing in her spare time.
Survivors include her brothers and sisters, Julian Pharis (Ina) of Palm Bay, Jean Butts (Haden) of Lake Panasoffkee, Robert “Bobby” Pharis (Kathy) of Baldwin and Walter Duncan Pharis (Mary) of Dothan, AL; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 pm, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00pm, Thursday, December 12, 2019 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel. Interment will follow in Pine Level Cemetery, Oxford.
