The driver of a four-door car was transported to The Villages Regional Hospital after being struck at 4:15 p.m. Monday by a commercial truck making a U-turn on County Road 466 near the entrance to Spring Arbor Village.

The Mack truck from ABC Supply Co. Inc. tried to make a U-turn from the right lane when it struck a car that was in the left lane, according to preliminary information from the Lady Lake Police Department.

The driver of the four-door vehicle was suffering from back pain as a result of the crash. The car was towed from the scene by Kling Towing.
