Villagers could be especially at risk of COVID-19

To the Editor:

Data just published on CNN showing numbers of case and deaths in each state. It places Florida in seventh place in number of cases.
BUT number one in death rate 152 total cases and deaths five equals death rate of 3.2 percent higher than any other state according to this published study. We need to believe that this disease in serious and we need to heed state, local and federal guidelines.
We are older here in The Villages and suspected death rate in those over 80 years in severe cases may be as high as 15.
