Ally Leonard

A Villages couple’s granddaughter who is on the frontline of the COVID-19 crisis in New Jersey recently came up with a way to honor patients who recover from the potentially deadly virus.

Ally Leonard, who serves as a registered nurse at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold, N.J., is the granddaughter of Ed and Ronnie Sullivan, of the Village of Bonita. She made the suggestion that every time a Coronavirus patient is released from the hospital, the sound of chimes rings out throughout the facility.

“The sound of chimes has a special meaning throughout the halls of the medical center,” Leonard said. “Together, the teams celebrate the good news of recovery.”
