Sumter sheriff seeks help nabbing tire bandit who ripped off Villages Wal-Mart

Sumter County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a thief who ripped off tires from Wal-Mart in The Villages.

The man, shown in the video above, is accused of entering the store at Buffalo Ridge Plaza on March 26 around noon, placing tires in a shopping cart and leaving without paying for the items. He also was observed later in the day trying to steal more tires, a sheriff’s office report states.

The man is described as a white male, approximately 50 years of age with tattoos on his forearms. He was wearing a blue pullover shirt and blue jeans and was possibly driving a green station wagon.
