
A woman was arrested with methamphetamine at a home where an air conditioning unit had recently been stolen.
Lady Lake police were called at 7 p.m. May 2 to a home in the 200 block of Morningside Avenue to investigate a report of a suspicious female carrying a large white bin of items.
The woman was located and identified as 25-year-old Demi Lynn Mitchell Scrugham of Clermont, according to the Lady Lake Police Department. She was found at the vacant house from which an air conditioning unit had been recently stolen.
A search of the bin which she had been carrying turned up methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
She was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked at the Lake County Jail on $3,000 bond.
