To the Editor:
A recent Monmouth poll on the 2020 presidential race was analyzed in several demographics; one was by gender and was striking for its wide gap. Overall, at this time, Biden leads Trump by 9 points. When analyzed by gender, women chose Biden over Trump by over 20 points. Men chose Trump over Biden by 2 points. Women’s objections to Trump are his vulgarity, abuse and disrespect of women, and anti-family cruel policies. I question why over half the men in America overlook these qualities in Trump and support him in spite of them?
These men have mothers; they may have wives, sisters or daughters. Do they not have enough love, respect and concern for the women in their lives that they too are offended by Trump? Why not? Do women and female children look up to & respect their father, brother, or husband who supports & condones that behavior? Maybe not. If you are a man who supports Trump, explain why to the women in your life.
