John Bode

A Villager has resigned as an alternate member of the Architectural Review Committee.

John Bode was appointed as an ARC alternate in 2017, representing Community Development District 6.

Bode moved to The Villages in 2011 after retiring as vice president of sales and business development at BGE Home Products and Services in Columbia, Md. He is resigning from the ARC because he has moved out of The Villages

Bode was more than a fill-in for CDD 6’s primary ARC representative Irv Markley, who serves as the committee’s chairman. Bode was a regular at Wednesday’s ARC meetings, taking an active role filling in for other vacancies on the committee.

“The ARC is a great group of dedicated people and I will miss working with them. It makes The Villages a better place,” Bode said in his resignation letter.
