Village Dental shut down due to COVID-19

Village Dental has been shut down due to COVID-19.
The temporary shutdown is impacting all three Village Dental locations in The Villages – the Historic Side, Southern Trace Plaza and Pinellas Plaza.
It is not clear whether it was a patient or staffer that tested positive for the Coronavirus.

Village Dental has an office on the Historic Side of The Villages.

A receptionist said the practice has been temporarily shut down as a preventative measure. All staffers are being re-tested for COVID-19 as a precaution.
All staffers had been tested prior to the reopening of Village Dental in May.
“Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued,” Village Dental said May 11 in a message to its patients.
Gov. Ron DeSantis issued an executive order May 4 which allowed elective procedures to resume in dental offices.
Village Dental traces its roots back to 1997 when the practice first opened on the Historic Side of The Villages.
