To the Editor:
Based on the information provided in the Villages-News.com, it appears that allowing amenity privileges for the proposed “age-restricted residential units” is a win-win for both residents and the Developer; such as, but not limited to, the Developer promising a restaurant, a resort-style pool, activity courts and walking paths and making them available to all Villages residents.
As well as the Developer’s assurance/promise that the Developer will be responsible for the upkeep of the “age-restricted residential units” which would include the restaurant, a resort-style pool, activity courts and walking paths.
As other Developer-owned properties, it appears that this project will be another Developer-owned state-of-the art facility; similar, but not limited, to the many Developer owned country club golf facilities; with no additional cost to residents to use the resort-style pool, activity courts and walking paths or use the restaurant (except for cost of food/beverage purchases).
I am going to make every effort to attend the AAC meeting at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Savannah Center. The meeting is open to the public and I hope many residents will make an effort to attend.
