Shirley Sue Hixon, 84, of The Villages, FL., passed away peacefully on September 25, 2020.
Shirley was born on December 18, 1935 to the late Olive and Donald Odle, in Yates Center, KS. Shirley loved spending time with her family, family was No. 1 to her, she also enjoyed playing Bridge, golf, games, Scrabble, and water skiing with her husband Kenneth.
Shirley is survived by the love of her life Kenneth L. Hixon, they have been married for 64 years. She is also survived by her son, David Hixon (Danielle); daughter Dinah Hess; sister Jean Clark; 5 grandchildren, Chris, Justin, Michael, Jazmin, Samantha Carmer (Andrew); a host of many family members and friends, and her faithful pet companion Chessy.
Shirley is preceded by her parents; her son Douglas Hixon; her brothers, Donald Odle, Gary Odle, and her sister Dorothy O’Donnell. Shirley was an amazing person, and she will be truly missed by everyone that knew her.
