Peggy L. Webb

Margaret “Peggy” L. Webb, 80, of The Villages, Florida, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, entered into eternal rest on Oct. 14, 2020.

She was born August 6, 1940 in Altoona, PA, daughter of the late Richard “Dick” Boyd McCoy and Rose “Rosie” Elizabeth “Carlin” McCoy.

She is survived by her loving husband, Merrill “Pete” Webb, Jr. whom she married on July 24, 1959 and two children, M. Richard “Rick” Webb and his wife, Niai (Sharer) Webb, of Naperville, IL and Wendy (Webb) Thomas and her husband, Michael Thomas, of Cranberry Township, PA. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Joshua Webb, Ryan Thomas and Laura David. Peggy has two surviving siblings, a younger sister Patricia (McCoy) Rauch of Altoona, PA and an older brother, James McCoy of Moscow, PA.

Peggy was a 1959 graduate of Altoona Catholic High School. She was a member of Saint James Lutheran Church in Altoona, PA for many decades and more recently a member of Hope Lutheran in The Villages, FL. She served as Saint James Church secretary for 20 years.

Peggy was very active as a lady of the Jaffa Shrine in Altoona, where her husband Pete was very active in his Masonic affiliations for over 50 years and was Potentate in 2000. She was a member of various organizations including the Tyrone Chapter #288 Order of the Eastern Star, Dorcas Temple #129 Daughters of the Nile and the Jobel Court.

Peggy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and especially enjoyed entertaining with lots of traveling, including the many cruises they organized and enjoyed. She was an outstanding cook and loved being with her family and friends.

Memorial services will be held in the spring in both The Villages, FL and Altoona, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, care of Jaffa Shrine, PO Box 1984, Altoona, PA 16603-1984.
