It’s hard to find a good place to dance in The Villages

To the Editor:

Just wanted to vent. I was one of the first in line at the Savannah Center Box Office to get passes for the opening of entertainment at the town squares. I got passes for several squares. However, the bands I did not care for. Not good dancing music.
Then I got passes for Johnny Wild and the Delights. What a difference and many people dancing. Then Rocky and the Rollers on the 27th, but the rain came down and I had to leave.
I know the clubs will start up again and there will be dances, but cement dancing without dance shoes is not the same. Inside you do not  have to worry about the heat and rain.
A great entertainment venue was destroyed. I am approaching 80 and just need a good place to dance to some good music. There is not one dinner-dance venue in The Villages like Katie Belle’s which was not perfect, but had some class.
