Obama declared CO2 a danger to American life

John Shewchuk

In December 2009, Obama’s EPA issued its Endangerment Finding (EF) — declaring carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gases dangerous to American life.  This of course was complete nonsense, because it completely ignores the fact that CO2 is necessary for all life on earth.

Some say that the Supreme Court also declared CO2 a pollutant.  That is not true.  Earlier in 2007, during a related lawsuit against the EPA, in a narrow 5-4 decision, the Court declared that the EPA had the authority to regulate gases that they claimed were pollutants.  This highly politicized decision was corrupted by flawed climate models which have since been proven wrong.  Ten years later, Justice Alito, who voted against the reckless ruling said, “Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant.”

CO2 was framed and convicted in an EPA kangaroo court.  The EPA EF ruling was conducted in secret.  The EPA refused to allow citizens, independent energy, climate, and health experts to participate in the EF review proceedings.  Additionally, the EPA never sponsored any public meetings and never let its internal peer reviewers see any of the public comments that outside experts and organizations submitted to the agency.  In fact, none of the EPA peer review panel’s questions and responses have ever been made public.  Two years after the Endangerment Finding was issued, the EPA’s new Inspector General found that the agency had violated long established rules governing the vetting of controversial scientific issues, but nothing was done to correct the problems.  The EPA’s EF report gave Obama the authority to cut greenhouse gas emissions without Senate approval.

The EPA’s Endangerment Finding is a hoax on humanity.  The fraudulent demonization of carbon dioxide is similar to the demonization of the Jews under Hitler.

If CO2 is really a pollutant, then why doesn’t the government arrest people to who exhale CO2?  Why do greenhouses double or triple CO2 concentrations to make your flowers and vegetables grow better?  Why did the greatest explosion of new life on earth begin when CO2 levels were 7 to 10 times higher than today?  Why did the dinosaurs thrive when CO2 levels were 4 to 6 times higher than today?  Why did earth’s primates first evolve when CO2 levels were 3 times higher than today?  We are, after all, carbon-based life forms, and we need lots of carbon to remain strong and healthy.

The only reason Obama directed the demonization of CO2 was because it can be taxed — it’s all about power and money.  But what about H2O, the water vapor gas?  Water vapor is earth’s primary greenhouse gas, producing 70 to 95% of all greenhouse effects — and yet it’s not a pollutant?  The hypocrisy is crystal clear.  CO2 is a life-giving gas for all life on earth.  It’s minuscule affect on climate is so tiny that it can not be measured.  More importantly, we are in a CO2 famine — so more CO2 is highly encouraged.  Remember … your plants grow better when you talk to them up close, because plants love your exhaled CO2.
