A “heavily intoxicated” man was arrested after an alleged attack on a woman with whom he shares a child.

William Daniel Todd Czarnecke, 34, of Bushnell, was arrested late Thursday night on a charge of battery after he allegedly held the woman down in bed against her will after “making sexual advances” toward her, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. She told him multiple time to stop, but he would not let her leave and he continued to hold her down by her wrists. She was able to kick him in the genitals, grabbed their child and attempted to leave, but Czarnecke slammed the bedroom door. She eventually fled the home and went to her parents’ residence in Webster. Her mother called law enforcement.

Czarnecke was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $7,500 bond.
