Rep. Hage has used his public office for private gain

To the Editor:

Rep. Brett Hage has failed to facilitate proper conduct and operation of government that public officials be INDEPENDENT and IMPARTIAL. Rep. Hage has used his public office for private gain. Rep. Hage has failed to protect the citizens of Sumter County against “conflicts of interests.”
Rep. Hage has failed to protect the integrity of government. Rep. Hage has lost the confidence of the people of Sumter County. Rep. Hage has allowed his personal employment ($350,000) with the developer of the Villages to impair his independence of judgement in the exercise of his duties. Rep. Hage has lost through his actions the public’s confidence in the INTEGRITY and INDEPENDENCE of the Florida Legislature. Rep. Hage has failed to allow Sumter County to self govern. Sumter County citizens “live here and have the right to decide here.”
