Mrs. Melba Jane Wright Kindoll, age 100, of The Villages, Florida and formerly of Madison and Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at 1:43 p.m. at the Cornerstone Hospice in The Villages.

Melba entered this life on October 11, 1920 in Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Victor and Bessie Banks Wright. She was raised in Carroll County and graduated from Carrollton High School in 1938. On January 9, 1943, she was united in marriage to Ira Kindoll in Milton, Kentucky. This happy union of 59 years was blessed with a daughter, Billie Jane. Melba was a food dietician supervisor at Madison State Hospital for 35 years. She was a member of Calvary Wesleyan Church in Madison. Melba enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mom, grandma, great grandma and friend. She moved to Indianapolis to be near her daughter and then to the Villages for the past 10 years.

Melba will be missed by her loving daughter, Billie Jane Kindoll Deveary and her husband Calvin of The Villages, Florida; her grandsons, Jason Deveary of Inverness, Florida, Joshua Deveary (Lorita) of Indianapolis, Indiana; her great grandchildren, Olivia, Andelyn, Sawyer and Lucia Deveary; her brother, Emmett Wright of Summerville, Florida; her sister in law, Susie Kindoll of Jeffersonville, Indiana; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira S. Kindoll, died February 11, 2002, her father, Victor Wright, her mother, Bessie Banks Wright, and her brother, Victor Wright, Jr, her sister in law, Annette Wright.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at 3:00 p.m., by Rev. Monty L. Mahoney at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Entombment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens, 9306 N. U.S. 421 near Madison, Indiana.

Friends may visit Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
