To the Editor:

With transgenders increasing in number, as well as increasing their desire to compete in many sports the time has come to recognize this group as, well, different from males or females. If they are “trans” by identity, then they should demand and have, their like group to compete against. Someone who identifies as a male does not compete against females. The same holds true in the case of females competing against males. Transgenders should be treated equally as special in gender identification.
Why would anyone be opposed to this obvious cure of the problem?
