A golf cart crash has forced the closure of a dog park in The Villages.

Yellow crime scene tape was up at the Homestead Dog Park in the Village of Citrus Grove, which is located south of State Road 44.

A woman driving a golf cart on Thursday crashed into the entrance fences at the dog park, according to witnesses. The woman is said to have suffered serious injuries and was in intensive care.
