Charles Ronk Jr. 84 formerly of Brick died peacefully on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at his home in The Villages, FL. Born in Passaic, he resided in Clifton and Brick before becoming a permanent Florida resident last year.
An Industrial Engineer, Charlie was employed as the General Manager of the Glenwood Management Corp. in NYC for 35 years prior to his retirement in 2002. He is a member of the Osbornville Baptist Church in Brick and the Tri County Baptist Church in Florida.
Charlie is a 60 year member of the Masonic Fraternity, a member of Durand Lodge #179 in Point Pleasant, the Valley of Central NJ Scottish Rite, Crescent Shrine, Crescent Court #64 ROJ all in New Jersey and The Villages Shrine Club in Florida. He is a twice Past Commodore of the Crescent Shrine Yacht Club, a Past Commodore of the Hurricane Harbor Yacht Club in Brick who also served in the US Coast Guard Reserves. Charlie is also a member of the American Legion Post in Brick, the Point Pleasant and Brick Elks Lodges, the Pt. Pleasant Lions Club and the Metropolitan Parking Association. He is a former Republican Committeeman in Brick.
Charlie is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Alice (Craig) Ronk and by a brother, Donald E. Ronk. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Janice (Keegan), by a son Charles A. Ronk of Blackwell, by a daughter, Dawn Ronk of Keyport, by four stepchildren, Angela Tonzola-Jadus of Dingmans Ferry, PA, John Tonzola Jr. of Angola, NY, Samantha Tonzola – Attardi of Parlin and Anthony Vincent Minkler of Middletown, by two grandchildren, Marc Cardonell and Kirsten Bergey, ten step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:30AM at Allwood Funeral Home, 660 Allwood Road, Clifton, NJ followed by burial at East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton. Visiting hours are Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9PM with Masonic Services at 8 PM.
Memorial donations to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 3551 North Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140 are preferred to flowers.
