A South Dakota teen was arrested while driving on a learner’s permit in Wildwood.
Valencia Anita Nicolai, 19, was driving a red Mazda utility vehicle at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday when she was pulled over on U.S. 301 because the vehicle did not have a license plate, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. During a traffic stop, the deputy learned that Nicolai does not have a valid driver’s license.
The South Dakota native claimed she has a learner’s permit and offered the deputy a Minnesota identification card.
She was arrested on a charge of driving without a license. She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $500 bond.
