Sue Ann Day
April 29, 1940 – October 20, 2023
Sue Ann Day, 83 years, of Summerfield, FL passed away on October 20th, 2023 under the care of Brandley Hospice House of Ocala. She was born to the late Thomas and Hazel (Post) McCain on April 29th, 1940 in Middletown, OH.
Sue will always he remembered for her wonderful smile and how she was always sharing a laugh with others. Sue was a much-loved member of the Spruce Creek Community, where she led many exercise classes at the community center. She was also involved with the Singles Club and Travel Club in the community, as she loved to travel and meet new people. She loved playing Bunco and cards with her friends. Most of all, she loved visiting and spending time with her daughters.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in passing by her beloved husband of over 50 years, David Lee Day and by her brother, Tom McCain. Those left to cherish her memory are her four daughters, Elizabeth Damiens (Charles) of Diamondhead, MS, Lou Day of Summerfield, FL, Kathleen Kinsbrunner (Scott) of Powder Springs, GA, and Kristina Dillingham (Lee) of Brownsville, TX; her cherished grandchildren, Laura, Tony, Chloe, and David; her sister, Theresa Housh; her brother, John McCain; and her many beloved nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass for Sue is arranged for Tuesday, October 31st, 2023 at 10 AM, at St. Mark Catholic Church of Summerfield, FL with a procession to Florida National Cemetery for a Committal Service to follow, where all friends and family are welcome to attend, if they wish. Sue will be laid to rest alongside her husband, David.
