Randy Mask, Sumter County Tax Collector, shares thoughts on the election for Sumter County Superintendent of Schools:
With respect to the upcoming election for Sumter County Superintendent of Schools, it is my honor to enthusiastically endorse Logan Brown for this office. Having served the people of Sumter County for more than two decades as a County Commissioner and Tax Collector, I understand the importance of the office of Superintendent of Schools as a constitutional office in the county.
I have been an advocate and supporter of the Sumter County School District for many years and feel strongly that now is the time for change in leadership. I appreciate and respect Mr. Richard Shirley and his service for the last 28 years. However, it is my personal belief that our school district could greatly benefit from a fresh set of eyes overseeing the operation and do not feel as though this seat should be passed down from father to son.
I have had the privilege of getting to know Logan Brown over the last several months and believe strongly in his vision for our local schools.
He is a man of faith, guided by steadfast moral values,
and has a strong business acumen. He is committed to
being a voice for students’ needs, supporting staff, and giving parents a bigger seat at the table when it comes to their child’s education.
“Join me in supporting Logan Brown for Superintendent of Schools.”
Respectfully,
Randy Mask
