Dolores Joan Riel, 83 of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024. She was born Thursday, February 13, 1941, in New Bedford, Massachusetts, to Elias Leo and Phyllis May (nee Sylvia) Mattos.
Dee and George moved here from Massachusetts in 2007. Dee was a member of Rock of Ages Lutheran Church in Wildwood and enjoyed music, art, playing cards and especially her family.
She is survived by her children: Lori Riel of Wildwood, FL and Lynn Crehan and her husband Michael of Raynham, MA; sister: Valerie Montgomery of Ocklawaha, FL; three loving grandchildren: Ashly DeAngelis, Kyle Crehan and Adilyn Crehan; many loving nieces and nephews.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 54 years George E. Riel.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Banks, Page-Theus Chapel 410 Webster Street, Wildwood, FL 34785.
The family will celebrate Dee’s life again at the Rock of Ages Lutheran Church 4957 East County Road 462, Wildwood, FL 34785 at a time to be announced.
