The Joann fabric and crafts store at Village Crossroads of Lady Lake is one of hundreds of stores closing across the country.
The Sunshine State will see numerous Joann stores closing, including those in Ocala and Orlando.
About 500 stores will be shuttering across the United States. The Ohio-based company dates back to 1943 when it was originally known as Cleveland Fabric Shop.
The company filed for bankruptcy last year and was able to reform as a private company. However, Joann was forced to file for bankruptcy again earlier this year, blaming inventory issues.
The company enjoyed a brief resurgence during the COVID-19 pandemic, when many Americans focused on at-home do-it-yourself projects.
