An unlicensed Guatemalan in a pickup truck was arrested near the Eastport construction area.
Rolando Ramirez Lucas, 27, was driving the white truck at about 3 p.m. Tuesday in the vicinity of Central Parkway and Bexley Trail when an officer noticed the vehicle had a cracked windshield, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.
During a traffic stop, Ramirez Lucas admitted he did not have a driver’s license and handed the office a identification card from Guatemala. The officer ran a check and confirmed that Ramirez Lucas has never been issued a driver’s license in the United States.
He was arrested on a charge of driving without a license. He was also issued a warning for the cracked windshield. He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $150 bond.
