Since the president said we needed Greenland and would even use force to take it if necessary, I considered the status quo which is Greenland is part of Denmark and Denmark is a NATO member so Greenland is already protected by NATO from bad states like China and Russia that supposedly want the rare earth metals Greenland possesses. Greenland has already offered additional area in their homeland to house more military people and equipment, why are we saying we need to possess the large island and all the rare earth materials it possesses?
Does Elon Musk need those rare earth materials to support the electrification of the earth and doesn’t want to pay for them? Does he need more money than he already has? or had?
Only if we drop out of NATO (are we even still in NATO?) could we invade Greenland to exploit its resources.
Same questions apply to Canada which has no interest in becoming our 51st state and is also a member of NATO yet Trump keeps making threats which serve no purpose other that keeping our friends from visiting in the winter and boosting our tourism industry.
Are we a member of NATO and its protection from communism or not?
