An Ocoee man was arrested for driving without a license after being stopped for speeding in Wildwood.
A deputy observed the driver of a white Ford truck, later identified as 22-year-old Enrique Hernandez-Crisostomo, speeding eastbound on County Road 466A at 7:55 a.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Radar confirmed the vehicle to be going 47mph in a 30-mph zone. Moreover, the front seat passenger was not wearing a seatbelt.

The deputy turned around on said vehicle, never losing sight of where it was. He was able to stop the vehicle in the area of County Road 462 and Northeast 81st Boulevard. He then explained the purpose of the stop to Hernandez-Crisostomo, the report said.
When asked for his driver’s license, Hernandez-Crisostomo instead handed over a United States of America employment authorization card. The deputy ran his name and date of birth through dispatch who advised that he had no license issued to him, the report said.
During the investigation, it was revealed Hernandez-Crisostomo had been living in the U.S. for about three years. He had been told that he needed to obtain a license to drive on a publicly maintained highway. It was also established that he had residency in Florida and was gainfully employed as a laborer, the report said.
Hernandez-Crisostomo was subsequently arrested on charge of operate motor vehicle without valid license. The native of Guatemala was transported to Sumter County Jail and released after posting $150 bond.
