Brenda Kay Hughes, 65, of Wildwood, FL passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025. She was born Wednesday, June 18, 1958, in Warsaw, IN to John Henry and Dorothy Louise (nee Thomas) Slone.
Brenda loved working in the yard and always had a fire going.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Jack W. Hughes; her parents; daughters: Crystal Gail Hughes and Rebecca Sue Hughes; brothers: Eugene and Ricky Slone; and sister, Patricia Wallen.
She is survived by her son, Steven Hughes; 2 grandchildren: Crystal and Brooke and 4 great-grandchildren: Braelyn, Daimon, Coltin, and Adelynn.
There will be a gathering of family and friends Friday, May 23, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. followed by a celebration of life funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at Banks/Page-Theus Chapel 410 Webster St. Wildwood, FL 34785.
In remembrance of Brenda’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to The Shriner’s Hospitals for Children Donate to Shriners Children’s — Superheroes.
