A Coleman man was arrested for driving with a suspended license as a habitual offender in the Wildwood area.
An officer conducted a traffic stop on the driver of a silver Ford pickup truck, later identified as 31-year-old Adam Blake Harwood, for an inoperable passenger side headlight at around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. The violation was spotted in the area of Warms Springs Avenue and County Road 507, and the vehicle came to a stop at 3257 CR 507.

Harwood advised that he did not have his driver’s license on him, nor did he have one at all. A check of his driving history confirmed he did not have a driver’s license but that he did have 13 prior suspensions, revocations and cancellations along with being classified as a habitual offender. These dated from Feb. 6, 2017, through July 20, 2021, and included DUIs, failures to pay financial obligations, and a failure to complete substance abuse treatment, the report said.
The Arizona native was subsequently arrested on charge of driving while license suspended (habitual offender). He was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $2,500 bond.
He was also arrested in April 2020 after a battle with the mother of this 5-year-old child.
