Villagers are planning to join in the “No Kings” nationwide protest on President Trump’s birthday.

The demonstration is set to take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 14 at the Morse Boulevard roundabout at the entrance to Lake Sumter Landing.

“In America, we don’t put up with would-be kings. ‘No Kings’ is a national day of action and mass mobilization in response to increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption from Trump and his allies. We’ve watched as they’ve cracked down on free speech, detained people for their political views, threatened to deport American citizens, and defied the courts. They’ve done this all while continuing to serve and enrich their billionaire allies,” according to information posted online about the event.

That same day, Trump is set to enjoy a massive military parade in Washington D.C. The Villages MAGA Club will be holding a country-and-western themed event to honor the president’s birthday.

The last time a rally was held at the entrance to Lake Sumter Landing, those who had parked at the shuttered Winn-Dixie store were asked to move their cars when The Villages Commercial Property Management claimed that merchants had complained about a lack of available parking for customers.

This time, event organizers are asking those attending the “No Kings” rally to arrive by golf cart and park on the grass.

Earlier this year, the “Hands Off” rally drew a huge crowd to the same location.
