Area residents are urged to welcome home veterans this week at a Villages Honor Flight homecoming celebration.
The event will begin at 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 28 at America Legion Post #347 in Lady Lake.
In advance of the veterans’ anticipated arrival, there will be entertainment by DJ Ralph DiNome, the Sweet and Sassy line dancers, the Prime Time Twirlers, the Just Us singing duo and The Villages Cheerleaders.
Buses carrying the returning veterans from a whirlwind day in Washington D.C. should arrive about 11:30 p.m. Those attending are encouraged to wear patriotic attire and make signs.
