A Wildwood motorcyclist who ignored a police officer’s warning was arrested on Meggison Road in The Villages.

An officer was patrolling the roadway in the southern end of The Villages when he observed the rider of a black motorcycle, later identified as 26-year-old Jesse Lee Pawloski, in front of him around 2 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.

The officer recognized the North Carolina tag and motorcycle from a previous stop where he charged Pawloski with no motorcycle endorsement. He ran a check on the tag to confirm his suspicion and stopped the motorcycle, the report said.

The officer then asked Pawloski for his driver’s license, which showed he had indeed been stopped on April 1. He asked Pawloski if he had a motorcycle endorsement, and he stated no. He was issued citations for no motorcycle endorsement and failure to notify DHSMV of an address change, the report said.

Pawloski was also advised not to ride the motorcycle until he got an endorsement. He was told he would be arrested if he was stopped again without one, the report said.

At 2:13 p.m., the officer was parked on Meggison Road monitoring traffic when he saw the same black motorcycle riding toward him. He subsequently initiated another traffic stop and arrested Pawloski, the report said.

The Georgia native was charged with operate motor vehicle without license and transported to the Sumter County Detention Center. He was released after posting $150 bond.
