An Orlando man was arrested for driving without a license after being stopped in Southern Trace Plaza for not using headlights in the rain.
A deputy conducted a traffic stop on the driver of a black Acura TL Type S, later identified as 38-year-old Gustavo Jose Blanco Gallo, at the crossroads of CR 466 and Southern Trace Plaza around 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The vehicle was driving in the rain with no headlights.

The deputy approached Blanco Gallo and asked for his driver’s license. He stated his license was no good, instead providing his name and date of birth. However, a check of this information showed he had multiple active suspensions and one prior conviction for driving while license suspended or revoked, the report said.
Blanco Gallo was arrested on charge of driving while license suspended (habitual offender). He was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center with bond set at $5,000.
