
Sandra Arline Kruger, 77, of The Villages, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025. Sandy was born in Detroit, Michigan, to William E. Bradley and Arline L. Wendt Bradley on August 11, 1947. She married Carl Kruger on January 15, 1977, and was a wonderful mother to her daughter, her only child, Christine “Chrisy”.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Carl Kruger, and her daughter, Christine Carey.
Sandy worked as an accomplished accountant in retail for several years and retired shortly before moving to The Villages in 2014. She enjoyed being involved in several clubs, such as It Takes a Village (volunteering with Wildwood elementary students), participating as Membership Chair for The Villages Republican Club for many years, and being active in the Sumter County Republican Executive Committee, The Republican Federated Women of The Villages, GFWC (General Federation of Women’s Clubs-The Villages), and other Republican clubs throughout The Villages.
Sandy’s favorite hobbies were shopping, decorating, traveling, and football. She participated in The Villages Fashion Divas and Decorating Divas Clubs. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Carl, abroad and locally, as well as throughout the U.S. Every year, the family would attend a Tampa Bay Buccaneers football game in Tampa, which she thoroughly enjoyed with husband Carl and daughter Christine.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Hiers-Baxley, 3975 Wedgewood Ln, The Villages, FL 32162. Pastor Jack Mackowiak from Trinity Lutheran Church will be officiating, and arrangements will be made by Hiers-Baxley.
Memorials may be given in Sandy’s name to: American Stroke Foundation, Republican Party of Florida (RPOF), and Trinity Lutheran Church, Summerfield, FL. Sandy’s family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to HCA Florida Ocala Hospital’s neurological specialists and Cornerstone Hospice & Palliative Care in The Villages for the care Sandy received over the past few weeks, as well as to all the friends and church members who offered prayers.
