Surrounded by his family, Paul Edward Sheehan, a resident of De La Mesa, passed away peacefully on June 26th, at age 86.
Born on February 24, 1939 in Chicago to the late Dorothy E. and Paul P. Sheehan, Paul was a devoted husband to his late wife, Marge, and a beloved father to Paul, Michael, Kevin, Thomas, and Brian Sheehan. He was a proud father-in-law to Susan, Susanne, and Kim Sheehan, and a cherished grandfather to Kaylee, Megan, Molly, Calla, Paul (Finn), Elliana, Michael, Sienna, and Owen. He is now reunited with his brothers Joseph and Stanley and is survived by his brother Robert Sheehan.
Paul enjoyed a distinguished career as an executive at Sears Roebuck and Merrill Lynch, where he was widely respected for his integrity, leadership, and sharp mind. Outside of work he filled his life with the people and places he loved: weekends in Williams Bay, the serenity of Sheehan’s Pond, playing golf, listening to music, and watching his beloved Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs.
