The Project Wide Advisory Committee has agreed to spend $110,097 to repair a sinkhole on a golf course in The Villages.
The sinkhole opened up this past September between 2878 Feustel Ave. and the golf cart path at the Sarasota Executive Golf Course.
Due to the proximity to private residences, a Standard Penetration Test (SPT) was completed by Andreyev Engineering at the end of November to assess subgrade soil conditions. Concrete grout injection was recommended to help prevent further ground subsidence, according to District Property Management. Following the grout injection, fencing removed for the repairs will need to be reinstalled and any landscaping damaged during the process will need to be repaired.
This work will be performed by Andreyev Engineering, Inc. in the estimated amount of $23,097 (including the the completed SPT tests) and on-going engineering and technical services, Hardscapes of Central Florida in the estimated amount of $1,200, ASG Solutions LLC in the estimated amount of $85,800, for a total estimated project cost of $110,097.
