A visiting teen granddaughter has been arrested in a shoplifting case in The Villages.

Kylie Elizabeth Blume, 18, of Myrtle Beach, S.C. went into the Target store at Rolling Acres Plaza at about 3 p.m. Sunday and was caught on surveillance tucking $142 worth of merchandise into her purse, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. She met up with family at the store and they paid for the purchases. Blume left the store without paying for the merchandise in her purse. The stolen items included earrings and a necklace.
During an interview with police, she admitted to the theft.
She was arrested on a charge of theft and booked at the Lake County Jail. She was released after posting $500 bond.
