Edward Exavier Bouchard, 84, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, in Bushnell, Florida. Born and raised in Michigan, he spent most of his life in Holland before trading the snow for sunshine upon retirement.

Edward proudly served his country. He earned the nickname “Fast Eddie” – a title he carried throughout his life, whether racing to the next swap meet or aiming for a winning shot at billiards.

He dedicated many years to Hart & Cooley Co. in Holland, Michigan.

A devoted Christian, Edward’s faith was a guiding light in his life. Coming from a large family of ten siblings, he learned early on that family was everything – especially when the going got tough, or when someone needed a partner for a game of cards.

In retirement, Fast Eddie could often be found exploring flea markets, swap meets, and casinos, always on the lookout for the next great find or lucky streak.

Edward is survived by his daughters Alma, Kelly, and Kimberly; son Jason; three granddaughters; brothers Mickey, Ricky, and Joseph; and sisters Joan and Jean. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah Robinson and Joseph Bouchard; sisters Sally, Elfretta, and Esther; and brother Michael. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek, Michigan, at a later date – a time to share stories, laughter, and memories of Fast Eddie’s quick wit and warm heart.

Edward will be remembered not only for his faith and dedication to family but also for his zest for life and ability to find joy in the little things. Rest easy, Fast Eddie – you earned it.
