A supervisor has resigned from his seat on the Community Development District 1 Board of Supervisors.

William Jenness of the Village of De La Vista has submitted his resignation, which was accepted by the board on Friday during a meeting at Savannah Center.

“At this time, I feel it is simply the right moment to step away and allow fresh perspectives to contribute, to the continued success of the District. I will always be grateful for the relationships built and the time spent serving this community,” Jenness wrote in his resignation letter.

Prior to joining the board in 2019, Jenness served for several years on the Architectural Review Committee.

The CDD 1 will begin the process of seeking a replacement to fill his seat.
