A Sumter County motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash Saturday night on U.S. 301.
The 42-year-old Webster man was operating a Harley-Davidson motorcycle at 7:04 p.m. traveling southbound on U.S. 301 in Hernando County when a northbound Kia Sorento, driven by a 66-year-old Dade City man, made a left turn directly into the path of the motorcycle, according to an arrest report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
The motorcycle collided with the Kia Sorento and the Webster man was knocked from the motorcycle. He struck a Jeep Cherokee, which was also northbound on U.S. 301.
The other drivers were not injured.
