A driver was killed after losing control of the vehicle he was driving on State Road 44 in Sumter County.
The 40-year-old Dade City man was at the wheel of a GMC Yukon at 9:20 p.m. Thursday traveling westbound on State Road 44 west of Wildwood and east of Rutland when he lost control of the vehicle and it overturned, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
He was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries at the crash scene.
