A Fruitland Park man was arrested for driving without a license after being stopped at Circle K in an uninsured car.

Law enforcement spotted a white Honda known to be uninsured traveling eastbound on State Road 44 near County Road 44A at 11 a.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Both registered owners, including 22-year-old Aidan James Delvecchio, did not have valid driver’s licenses, either.

A deputy then found the vehicle and stopped it in the parking lot of Circle K, located at 1001 S. Main St., Wildwood. Delvecchio admitted he did not have a license, which was confirmed by dispatch, the report said.

The New York native was arrested on charge of operate motor vehicle without valid license and issued a citation for no proof of insurance. He was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $150 bond.
